This isn't my first time here. (My 4th time, I think. LOL) This 513m mountain has became one of KALASAG's signature trek. Because of its relatively approach, it is really suitable for beginners as well as for the people who (like me) has nothing to do during weekends and loves to go nature trippin' - budget wise and location wise.

Situated about 12km from the small town of Kota Tinggi is the recreational forest of Gunung Panti. The recreational forest is accessible by any modes of transportation and is only a two hour drive from the Causeway. Many people consider Gunung Panti as a training ground for trekkers so that they may proceed to trek tougher mountains in Sabah or the Himalayas. Explorers come here to practice as well. It will be a 2-3 hour walk to the summit, depending on one's physical condition. Prepare to encounter blood sucking insects and creepy crawlies. Weee! Hello limatiks. Which means, bring an insect repellent and an alcohol spray!

One must prepare the final 20m climb to the summit though, as the ground is rather steep.
There was the huge boulder towards the end of the trek just before the summit. To get to the top, you'll have to climb up this boulder using the guide ropes.

Although I have been here a few times, this climb bought different experience, different fun and laughter and another one great hell of camaraderie. Till next climb, guys!!
